What's In A Name?
The Mark of Quality

A good name may be your most valuable asset. This is just as true of organizations as it is of individuals.

Consider this: Volkswagen spent $800 million to buy Rolls-Royce only to discover that the purchase did not include the rights to the treasured brand name. It turns out, Volkswagen bought the factory and the skilled labor force without the name.

Shrewd BMW then purchased the brand name from Rolls-Royce. In a few years, every car bearing the name "Rolls-Royce" will be produced by BMW, not by Volkswagen.

Which company purchased the more valuable asset? Most would agree that - in the long run – a name with a world-wide recognition for quality is more treasured than gold. It is the goose that lays the golden egg, over and over again!

A good name is to be more desired than great riches, favor is better than silver and gold (Proverbs 22:1)

David behaved himself more wisely than all the servants of Saul. So his name was highly esteemed (I Samuel 18:30)
