Windows XP, 98 & 95 - Download 32-bit version
Windows 3.x - Download 16-bit version
1. Click on the Download version above that applies to your computer. The "Save As" dialog box will appear.
2. Select a folder on your computer to save in. This is your download destination, such as "C:\Downloads\dist32b.exe". Then press the "Save" button.
3. Get a cup of coffee. Patience is a virtue!
4. After download is complete you need to run the install executable file. You can do this a number of ways:
(a) Press the Start button. Then press Run. Then type the folder location and file name, such as "C:\Downloads\dist32b.exe". Then press OK.
(b) Or you can use your file manager, such as Windows Explorer. Press the Start button. Then click on Programs - Windows Explorer.
Then locate the download destination folder. Then double click on the file "dist32b.exe"
5. Follow the onscreen instructions.
6. After successful installation, drag and drop the SoulSavertm shortcut icon to your desktop by holding the left button.
For users of Windows 98 and Windows 95 -
Operating the Software:
1. You can launch
the SoulSavertm Bible Tutortm software in a number of ways:
(a) Double click on the SoulSavertm shortcut icon on your desktop, or
(b) press Start, then Programs - Bold Lion - SoulSaver, or
(c) you can use your file manager, such as Windows Explorer. Press the Start button. Then click on Programs - Windows Explorer.
Then locate the Bold Lion folder. Then open the application folder. Then double click on the executable file (".exe").
2. The SoulSavertm Bible Tutortm
window will appear in white. The bottom of the window contains buttons for
Berean Notes, Servant settings and controls,
<< (Back), Start/Pause, and >> (Forward). There is a scroll bar on
the right.
3. Press the SoulSavertm Start button.
The LivingWordtm will come alive! The Start button
will change to Pause. Default settings are activated which should produce a
dramatic graphic environment using fonts from your system.
4. Use the Servant button to set desired features in the SoulSavertm Bible Tutortm
Servant dialog box. Change settings to improve the visual presentation if
default settings are unfavorable.
5. Spread the Word!
Setting the Screensaver:
All text and graphic resources also run as screen savers. To set the SoulSavertm
screen savers go to the "Display Properties" dialog box.
1. This can be done a few ways. (a) Right click on the desktop background, then click on Properties, or
(b) press the Start button, then Settings, then Control Panel, then Display.
2. Select the Screen Saver tab, then select "SoulSaver" from the Screen
Saver dropdown list.
3. Press the Settings button. Set desired features in the SoulSavertm Screen Saver dialog box.
4. Press OK, then press OK again.
The screen savers contain the same features and controls as the SoulSavertm
Bible Tutortm software. In addition, all the screen saver
settings are controlled independently from the SoulSavertm
Bible Tutortm software settings. This allows for different
Scripture Sequences and visual presentations for each.
Setting the Desktop Background:
All graphic resources can be used as background desktop wallpaper. To set the background go to the "Display Properties" dialog box.
1. This can be done a few ways. (a) Right click on the desktop background, then click on Properties, or
(b) press the Start button, then Settings, then Control Panel, then Display.
2. Select the Background tab, then scroll down the Wallpaper list.
3. Select from the
Wallpaper list any SoulSavertm wallpaper. Each is
listed alphabetically and contains the prefix "SS" (such as "SS
alpha omega gavel").
4. Set the display to Tile, then press OK.
If you elect not to install the wallpaper to your desktop resources during
installation, then you can install it at any time using the
Servant button in the SoulSavertm
Bible Tutortm software. (See Operating the Software above).
Press the Wallpaper button in the SoulSavertm Bible Tutortm
Servant dialog box. Select desired wallpapers for
desktop resources, then press Export BMP button.
